"I have known Curtis Gaus for more than five years. First, as a member of the church where I am the Executive Pastor. Second, in a professional context with him being the former Principal of West Nassau High School. Third, Curtis is someone that I call a close friend. As a Pastor, I have personally witnessed the love that former students have shown him by the way they interacted with him off campus. I have seen Curtis show tough love when needed to students as an Administrator and also love them through tragedies that they have endured in our community. As a friend I have been with Curtis behind closed doors when no one else was around and he mourned over students and faculty that were tragically lost. Why am I supporting Curtis Gaus for Superintendent? My answer is this: Curtis Gaus has shown throughout his career that he can make the right decisions for the best interest of our students when the time comes."
